Founded in 1981, two-time SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Award) winners Delaney Brothers Bluegrass is one of central NY's oldest and best-loved bluegrass bands.  However, their music is more than just bluegrass - it's influenced by many other acoustic traditions such as country, folk, gospel, and celtic.  From the smooth, warm vocals of lead singer John and tight family harmonies with his older brother Ray and son Jonathan, to Nick's smokin' banjo (and fiddle!) playing, fans are treated to a musical experience that puts a smile on their faces and sets toes to tapping! The band’s latest CD release entitled “Generations” reflects not only the passing of the musical torch from one generation to the next, but also the melding of the two found within the band itself.  This is represented clearly in the project’s tracklist, which includes several songs written by their youngest member, banjo player Nick Piccininni, as well as traditional selections composed by bluegrass forefathers like the late Bill Monroe.
